How it Happened
- The Great Danes opened the game on a 12-6 run, capped by a three-from Sebastian Thomas and a dunk from Amar'e Marshall.
- By the midway point of the first half, UAlbany maintained a 23-20 advantage after back-to-back layups from Thomas. Thomas led all scorers at that point with 11.
- The River Hawks used a 14-5 run to capture the lead, 34-28, going 4-6 shooting over a five-minute stretch.
- The two teams would trade baskets over the final 4:43 with UMass Lowell taking a 45-37 lead into the locker room at the half.
- UAlbany shot 41% (16-39) from the field and 28.6% (4-14) from three in the first half. UMass Lowell shot 50% (13-26) from the field and went 2-9 from deep.
- The Great Danes did a solid job defensively in the first half, forcing four steals and causing eight UMass Lowell turnovers.
