Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball team fell on the road to America East leading Vermont on Thursday night, 81-59.

How it Happened:
- Vermont took an early 6-5 advantage heading into the first media timeout. Jonathan Beagle scored the first points of the game for the Great Danes before Amar'e Marshall buried a three to get UAlbany back within one.
- A defensive battle, the Catamounts maintained an 11-7 advantage at the U12 break. UAlbany committed six turnovers in the begging of the game, Vermont four. Both teams registered three steals.
- Thanks to a 12-2 run. Vermont extended its lead to 18-9 with 8:23 remaining. The Catamounts were forced to call timeout after the Great Danes forced a trap in the corner thanks to Sebastian Thomas and Ny'Mire Little.
- With 3:23 remaining, the scoreboard read 31-19 in favor of Vermont. Little and Marshall were able to hit from deep for the Great Danes, trading Buckets with UVM.
- UAlbany trailed 38-21 heading into the locker room at the half. The Great Danes 29.6% (8-27) from the field and went 3-12 from beyond the arc. Vermont shot 48.1% (13-27) from the field, also going 3-12 from deep.
- In the first half, Vermont out-rebounded UAlbany 19-14 and had fewer turnovers, 8-10.
- The lead remained 18 points, 46-28, four minutes into the second half. Tyler Bertram came out firing for UAlbany, scoring five points including a three-pointer.
- UAlbany cut the gap to 14, but an 8-0 Vermont run pushed Vermont back to its largest lead of the night at 22 with just under 13 minutes remaining.
- Both teams started to find success from three, with UAlbany going 3-9 and Vermont going 3-8 by the time the seven-minute mark hit.
- UAlbany shot 39.5% (15-38) from the field and went 4-16 from three in the second half. Vermont shot 59.3% (16-27) from the field and went 3-10 from deep.
