ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men's basketball plays two games this week, starting off at home on Wednesday, December 4 to face Columbia before traveling to play Boston University on Saturday, December 7.

With 182 points Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa leads the Lions by shooting 58-104 (.558%) in field goals and 33-63 (.524%) from the three. In addition, he leads the team with 15 steals and in free throws, going 33-37 (.892). Blair Thompson leads the team in rebounds with 53 (21 off – 32 def), averaging 6.6 per game. Mason Ritter leads the team in blocks with seven.

The Great Danes have an overall 8-0 record against the Lions and look to extend their winning record. Last time the two teams faced each other was November 11, 2023, which saw UAlbany come away with a 78-75 win. During the game
Sebastian Thomas led all scorers with 24 points, recorded a double-double, scoring 20 points with ten rebounds, while shooting 9-12 from the floor. Four Great Danes scored in double figures and UAlbany outrebounded Columbia 40-25. UAlbany scored 40 points in the paint, 19 off second-chance opportunities, and 17 in transition; meanwhile, Columbia shot 22-24 from the free throw line.
Scouting Boston University
The Terriers are off to a 3-5 overall starting and have begun a one-game losing streak falling to Sacred Heart by a score of 65-73. The team is averaging per game 64.6 points, 22.5 field goals, 8.8 three's 36.0 rebounds, 14.9 turnovers, 6.1 steals and 2.5 blocks.
Kyrone Alexander leads BU with 100 points shooting 33-85 (.468%) from the field for 12.5 ppg, and 16-44 (.364%) from the three. He's totaled 40 rebounds and 17 assists with 11 steals, and one block. Ahead of Alexander in rebounds is Malcolm Chimezie with 51 who's also recorded 61 points so far. Azmar Abdullah leads the Terriers in three-point percentage amongst players over two games played shooting 10-23 (.435%)

The Great Danes have a 3-11 all-time record against the Terriers, their latest face off being on November 29, 2023, which ended in UAlbany claiming a 86-72 victory. In that game Tyler Betram led all scorers with 20 points, shooting 6-10 from behind the arc.
Sebastian Thomas recorded a double-double, scoring 16 points and dishing 10 assists. UAlbany's bench contributed 39 of the team's 86 points.
Amar'e Marshall scored 14 points while BU scored 38 points in the paint.

November 30, 2024 | The Great Danes are coming off a 68-100 loss to Georgetown. Against the Hoyas,
Amar'e Marshall and
Kheni Briggs were UAlbany's leading scorers with 17 points and one rebound each. Marshall shot 3-7 in the field, 2-3 at the three, and 9-10 at the line with four steals and two assists. Briggs went 4-9 from the field and 3-5 beyond the arc shooting 6-6 at the line while picking one assist and steal.
Justin Neely had the most total rebounds with five, while also recording 12 points. UAlbany shot 20-56 (35.7%) from the field, 7-22 (31.8%) from the three and would go 21-24 (87.5%) at the line.

Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops is officially back for a third season! Coaches
Dwayne Killings and Colleen Mullen, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl every Monday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops'.
Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Killings, Coach Mullen, student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew. Food and drink specials will be available every week as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.
Postgame Show
The UAlbany Basketball Postgame Show returns this season to 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio. The show will begin immediately following all games, home and away, for fans to listen to as they commute home or tune in from a distance.
The show is set to run for 30 minutes following the final buzzer on 104.5 The Team. Fans will hear initial reactions and a game recap to start the segment followed by interviews with the team. Coach
Dwayne Killings and select student-athletes will join ESPN Radio's Rodger Wyland and Michael Johnson Jr. to break down the contest, give insights, opinions, and responses, and discuss the team's next matchup.
Fans can tune in to ESPN Radio 104.5 the Team by turning the dial on their radio or by
