SHORT STORY: Fourth-seeded Vermont upset top-seed UAlbany in the America East semifinal with an early goal and a solid defense, Friday evening.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "Super disappointing. Our girls were very motivated for the tournament and to see what we could. We were beaten by a tough team - Vermont won yesterday and their toughness and ability to grind and keep eating the clock at the end … hats off to them. I know Coach Kate and them have been trying to break through for a long time and this was a big deal for them. I wish them all the best."
