How it Happened:

• Matthew Mariano started on the mound for the Great Danes, Caleb Lays started for the Black Bears.
• Maine struck first in the opening inning. Jeremiah Jenkins hit a two-run home run to make it a 2-0 ballgame.
• UAlbany responded in the top of the second when Owen Silliman brought home Jason Bottari on a ground ball to third, making it 2-1.
• Maine added two runs in the third on a groundout and an infield single, making it 4-1.
• The Black Bears made it 5-1 in the fourth inning after a solo home run from Ryan Turenne.
• Thomas Quinn entered the game for UAlbany to start the fifth.
• Luc Lavigueur took the mound for Maine to start the fifth.
• A solo home run from Maine's Jake Rainess in the seventh made it 6-1. Two more runs were added later in the inning on a sac fly and a single through the right side to make it an 8-1 ballgame.
• Gianni Gambardella pitched the top of the eighth for Maine.
• Michael DiMartino came into the game in the bottom of the eighth for UAlbany.
• Maine's Jake Marquez added three runs in the eighth on a bases-loaded double. He later scored on an RBI single from Connor Goodman, making it 12-1.
• Justin Baeyens came in to pitch the ninth for Maine.
