Key Stats
Head Coach Katie Thomson: "Today was a great day. It was a back and forth game for the first half and our team stepped up to the challenge and played an unbelievable second half. We're so proud of our team's focus to come out of the weather delay with spark and finish the game strong. We'll enjoy this and get back to work as we prepare for our next one."

How it Happened
- The University at Albany women's lacrosse team paid a visit to Binghamton Saturday for a showdown of unbeaten-in-conference teams. The Bearcats, who had already clinched a spot in this year's America East Tournament, held a half-game lead over UAlbany at 4-0 against America East competition, and Saturday's winner would have the inside track for hosting privileges for the postseason.
- Binghamton struck first less than two minutes after the opening draw. Katie Pascale tied the game at one with 11:10 left in the first quarter, leading to two-straight goals from Binghamton, but nearly eight minutes apart. The Great Danes, trailing by two, saw Bryar Hogg set up Allie Maloney with just three seconds left on the clock to end the first quarter trailing by just one.
- Maloney's goal kicked off a four-goal run for the Great Danes, who led 5-3 with 10:12 left in the second quarter. Binghamton responded by rolling off each of the next three to retake the lead with just under four minutes remaining before halftime.
- Sarah Falk closed the first half with a goal with 1:35 on the clock to tie the game at six at the break. Binghamton held a slight advantage in shots taken, 14-11, but trailed 8-6 in draw controls.
- UAlbany scored three of the first four goals of the third quarter through the 6:26 mark, taking a 9-7 lead. Binghamton closed within one with 3:42 on the clock, but another goal in the final 10 seconds, this time from Falk, put UAlbany up 10-8 heading into the fourth.
- Falk's goal started UAlbany's largest run of the afternoon, 6-0, leading to a 16-8 lead with 3:15 to go. The streak was interrupted with 9:12 remaining, following a goal from Emma Weaver, when the game was suspended due to lightning in the area.
- The Great Danes scored three goals following the weather delay, which lasted for nearly an hour. By the end of the streak, both Falk and Pascale had scored their third goal of the afternoon.
- Binghamton closed the game scoring three straight to bring the final score to 16-11. The Bearcats outshot UAlbany by just one, 27-26, but UAlbany managed 23 shots on goal to Binghamton's 22. Binghamton grabbed four more ground balls than UAlbany, and UAlbany won three more draws than Binghamton.
- Saturday's win puts UAlbany in sole possession of first place in the America East standings with two games remaining on the schedule.
Next: UAlbany hosts its Senior Day on April 22 against New Hampshire.
