Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team fell to St. John's by a score of 11-2. After winning game one on Friday, the series is set to be decided in the rubber match on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

How it Happened:
  • Connor Eisenmann started on the mound for UAlbany, Joe Mascio started for St. John's.
  • The Great Danes scored first in the opening inning. With Will Binder on third and Dan Tauken on first, Tauken stole second base. The throw down to second, which was too late, was able to bring home Binder from third.
  • St. John's tied the game in the third on a solo home run to right field off the bat of Tate Ballestero.
  • The Red Storm opened up the scoring in the fourth. With the bases loaded, Luke Orbon grounded out to second to bring home a run. The next at-bat, Paul Orbon singled to right to bring home two more runs. Ballestero then hit a double to left before a two-run single from Kevin Michaels capped the six-run inning.
  • Michael DiMartino took the mound for UAlbany with a runner on in the fifth.  
  • The Red storm made it 8-1 in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk.
  • Tommy Finnegan took the mound for St. John's in the sixth.
  • The score moved to 9-1 in the sixth on an RBI single from Luke Orbon.
  • UAlbany gained a run back in the seventh when Devan Kruzinski hit an RBI single to left, scoring Danny Alvarez and making the score 9-2.
  • Owen Birkman was given the ball in the seventh.
  • The Red Storm picked up three more runs in the seventh, making it an 11-2 ballgame.
  • Louis Marinaro took the mound for St. John's in the eighth.
