Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team used a seven-run third inning to lead for most of the afternoon, but ultimately fell to St. John's by a score of 8-7 in the rubber game of the weekend series.
Head Coach Jon Mueller: "Tough one to lose at the end. We played solid defense the entire weekend and we got contributions throughout the lineup. The bullpen is making steady progress as well."

- Owen Silliman and Devan Kruzinski led the team with two each. Silliman also had an RBI, Kruzinski had a team-high three RBIs and also posted a double.
- Chris Fisher went 1-2, drawing three walks.
- Jason Bottari and Will Feil also finished with an RBI each. Bottari stole two bags.
- UAlbany finished with 10 hits, eight walks, 12 strikeouts, and left 10 men on base.
How it Happened:
- Matthew Mariano started on the mound for UAlbany, Xavier Kolhosser started for St. John's.
- St. John's rattled off three runs in the opening frame. Kevin Michaels hit an RBI single to open the scoring before Jimmy Keenan brought home two more runs on a single through the left side.
- Thomas Quinn replaced Mariano for UAlbany in the second.
- UAlbany took the lead in the third. Victor Mazzara scored on a Devan Kruzinski double before Will Feil drove home Kruzinski and Carson Dunkel scored on a wild pitch. With two outs, Jason Bottari got in on the action with an RBI single up the middle to score Will Binder, making it 4-0.
- Jake Alfaro took the mound for St. John's after the Kruzinski double and Tim Cunningham replaced Alfaro shortly after the Bottari single.
- The damage continued in the third. After the pitching change, Owen Silliman drove in Bottari and Kruzinski collected another two RBIs on a single up the middle to make it 7-3.
- Dylan Johnson took the mound for the Red Storm in the fourth.
- The Red Storm gained two runs in the fourth on a Paul Orbon double, 7-5.

- St. John's nabbed a run in the seventh on a solo home run from David Glancy.
- Chuck Sanzio took the mound for the Red Storm to record the final out of the eighth.
- St. John's tied the game in the bottom of the eighth off a fielder's choice, with the ball coming off the bat of Blake Mayberry.
- After recording two quick outs, UAlbany was able to load the bases in the top of the ninth but couldn't take advantage.
- The game ended in the bottom half of the inning. With runners on the corners, Jimmy Keenan singled to third base to bring in the winning run, walking it off with an 8-7 victory.
