SHORT STORY: The Great Danes battled back from a game-opening 11-point run but Stanford consistently extended its lead throughout the second, third, and fourth quarters to take the win, Sunday afternoon.

COACH COLLEEN MULLEN: "Although it's not the outcome we wanted, I am extremely proud of our poise and effort today. Stanford is a national championship caliber team. Our defense held them under their scoring average and to just 32 points in the second half. We struggled to keep them off the glass but it got better as the game progressed. There is a lot to learn from and build upon from this game."
