Third Quarter Burst Leads to Women's Basketball Road Victory

SCORE: UAlbany 62, UMass Lowell 38

LOCATION: Costello Athletic Center - Lowell, Mass.

RECORDS: UAlbany 10-8, 4-0 America East | UMass Lowell 1-12, 0-3 America East

SHORT STORY: After a slow start and a low-scoring first half, the Great Danes' offense clicked in the third quarter to take a 23-point lead and the eventual victory, 62-38, Saturday afternoon.

COACH COLLEEN MULLEN: After a tough second quarter, I thought our team responded with a lot of energy and toughness to start the third quarter. Our pressure defense led to transition baskets. We shared the ball well and controlled the boards. Today was a terrific team win."
