Football Welcomes Alsadek to Staff

ALBANY, N.Y.  – The University at Albany and Head Coach Greg Gattuso today announced the hiring of Jacob Alsadek as the team's Offensive Line Coach. Alsadek joins the Great Danes after having previously served at Oregon State University and the University of Toledo.

"We are very excited to have Jacob join our staff again," said Gattuso "We met Jacob in 2019 when he was at UAlbany as an Offensive Analyst. Since then, he has picked up some great experience at both Oregon State and Toledo. Jake brings a ton of passion, energy, and knowledge to our coaching staff, and we are happy to have him back with our program."

Alsadek comes to UAlbany after spending the 2022 season as an Offensive Graduate Assistant Coach at Oregon State. With the Beavers, Alsadek worked alongside the Offensive Line Coach, as well as working directly with the Offensive Coordinator and Head Coach. Oregon State finished the 2022 season as the No. 17 team in the country in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings, also finishing 11th in the nation for sacks allowed (12) and 27th for rushing offense (199.2 ypg).

"My wife and I are extremely grateful and excited to be joining the Great Dane Family," said Alsadek. "UAlbany has always had a special place in my heart, and I could not be more thrilled to have the opportunity to join Coach Gattuso's staff. I can't wait to get work with a great group of coaches and student-athletes!"

Before joining Oregon State, Alsadek spent two seasons as an Offensive Line Graduate Assistant at Toledo. In 2019, he was a member of the UAlbany football program as an Offensive Analyst. The 2019 season saw the Great Danes win nine games, including their first-ever FCS playoff game at home against Central Connecticut State. UAlbany went 9-5 overall, including 6-2 in the CAA to finish second after being picked 11th in the preseason coaches' poll.
