GREAT DANE REWIND
- UAlbany returned from the Cornell Invitational (Sept. 9-10) with two wins and one loss. The Great Danes defeated Temple in four sets before beating the host, Cornell, in five. Colgate took the final match of the weekend in four sets.
- UAlbany opened the season at the JMU Invitational in Virginia before heading to Annapolis for the Kristen Dickmann Invitational, hosted by Navy.
- In each of the three matches in Virginia, the Great Danes won one set.
- Throughout the season's three tournaments, newcomer Alexa Harris has come to lead the Great Danes with 3.21 kills per set while freshman Anna Myhal follows with 2.48 kills per set.
- On defense, libero Charlotte Macken leads with 3.91 digs per set.
- Junior Sadie Brown owns a team-high with 20.0 blocks while sophomore Anissia Wong leads with 5.0 blocks.
- Junior Malea Stanton has started four matches as the setter, compiling 186 assists (8.09 per set).
ABOUT MARIST
- The Red Foxes opened the 2022 season at the Georgia State Invitational. Earning wins over Georgia State and Belmont, Marist fell to Auburn.
- Marist evened out its record at the Hokie Invitational, hosted by Virginia Tech. The Red Foxes fell to Old Dominion and Virginia Tech with a win over Coppin State.
- Most recently, Marist saw two losses and one at the URI Invitational (Sept. 9-10). Seeing LIU, Rhode Island, and Boston College, the Red Foxes defeated LIU in three sets.
- Sasha van der Merwe leads the offense with 3.67 kills per set and 10 service aces. Jordan Newblatt follows with 2.73 kills per set.
- Morgan Owens (3.15 digs per set) and Vanessa Zolg (30.0 total blocks) lead the team's defensive maneuvers.
- McKinley Fox is the team's starting setter, totaling 295 assists for 8.94 assists per set.
SERIES AGAINST THE RED FOXES
- UAlbany leads the all-time series, 4-0.
- The Red Foxes first went against the Great Danes in 2000.
- In every meeting, UAlbany has won in four sets.
- The last meeting was in 2021. Current student-athletes Malea Stanton (21 assists) and Anissia Wong (two solo blocks) return after leading with their respective stats. Charlotte Macken finished the match with 11 digs, one short of the team-high.

- The Great Danes will head to Pennsylvania for their final tournament of the 2022 season. Hosted by #11 Penn State, UAlbany will also see time against Howard and Coastal Carolina.
