Head Coach Sade Ayinde: "It's never easy going down a goal early.  We had some good moments of soccer but we also had some defensive lapses that Hofstra took advantage of.  Hopefully we can take some lessons from today and go into Rider with a positive mindset."

How it Happened

• Hofstra got in the board first, in the ninth minute, inducing a UAlbany own-goal off a corner kick from the right side.
• UAlbany's defense held following the goal through the remainder of the first half, and outshot the Pride 4-3 over the first 45 minutes.
• Hofstra scored twice early in the second half, in the 48th and 53rd minutes to take control of the game.  The Pride ended up outshooting UAlbany 9-5 after halftime, and 12-9 for the duration of the game.
• Hofstra's defense held UAlbany to just one shot on goal.  UAlbany goalkeeper Gabriella Terranova made her first appearance of the season, and of her career as a Great Dane, subbing in for Megan Hart in the 65th minute.
