RECORDS: UAlbany 1-1, 0-0 America East | Ohio State 2-0, 0-0 Big Ten

SHORT STORY: The Great Danes battled with the Buckeyes but were unable to earn the victory, Sunday.

COACH PHIL SYKES: "In the early season with back-to-back games, you are going to have some ups and downs. Today, we played pretty well but there are some minor details we need to work on. There were a couple of specific plays where we could have stopped the resulting goal with tougher defense and more communication. We will go to practice, work on these details and fix them moving forward.

"Overall, Ohio State is a good team and they played well. We have a local product from ADK Club Field Hockey, Abby Danson, who made some good saves in goal. They [the Buckeyes] deserve all the credit with the good effort."
