Records: UAlbany (21-25, 10-19 AE) | UMass Lowell (25-27, 15-14 AE)

Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team fell to UMass Lowell 3-2 on Friday afternoon, falling just short of a comeback in the ninth inning. Cregg Scherrer dominated for the Great Danes on the mound, giving up just two earned runs on two hits in eight innings of work, only to have his performance matched by the River Hawks.

Head Coach Jon Mueller: "It was a great college game today. I thought Cregg Scherrer was outstanding, and Jessen was able to give us a solid inning. We just had limited opportunities. They pitched a little bit better than us at the end of the day. They had two hits and scored three runs, it's tough to do that in baseball if you don't give them stuff."
