Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team dropped its second game of the weekend to Maine, falling 7-5.
Cregg Scherrer started the game for the Great Danes and totaled nine strikeouts.
Will Binder hit a solo homerun early on, but Maine's offense came alive late to take the lead and hold it foe the rest of the game.

Cregg Scherrer gave us all he had on a hot day. We had a few defensive miscues which opened up a five-run inning. The offense came alive late, but we came up a bit short. Still have a chance to salvage the Sunday game tomorrow."

- Cregg Scherrer started on the mound for the Great Danes, Caleb Leys started for the Black Bears.
- UAlbany struck first on the very first at-bat of the afternoon when Will Binder sent a shot over the center field fence to make it 1-0.
- Maine tied the game at one in the fourth inning off an RBI double from Marquez, scoring Jenkins.
- Noah Lewis entered the game for Maine to start the sixth.
- Maine took the lead of the game thanks to a five run seventh inning. Goodman laid down an RBI bunt single to score Schulefand before Bramanti hit a two-run homer to right. Mejia topped off the scoring for the Black Bears with a two-RBI double to center.
- Marshall Winn replaced Scherrer midway through the seventh to record the final out of the inning.
- The Great Danes scored their second run of the game in the eighth thanks to a bases-loaded hit by pitch with Michael Whalen at the plate. Josh Loeffler hit a SAC fly to center the next at-bat to make the score 6-3.
- Rob Manetta entered the game for the Great Danes to start the eighth.
- Maine added its final run of the day in the bottom half of the inning after McDaniel hit a SAC fly to score Schulefand, unearned.
- Leif Bigelow entered the game for Maine to start the ninth.
- Two more UAlbany runs scored in the final frame courtesy of a two-run double off the bat of Josh Loeffler to make the final score 7-5.
