Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team picked up a much need win on Sunday afternoon, defeating America East leading Maine 10-5 in Orono. The Great Dane offense was led by
John Daly and
Brad Malm, each securing four RBIs each.
Connor Eisenmann started on the mound for the Great Danes, pitching six strong innings en route to the win.
Head Coach Jon Mueller: "We challenged our guys and they responded in a big way. The momentum started with Eisenmann's start.

Will Binder all had huge days at the plate. This is playoff baseball and we have created some momentum heading home for the last series of the year."

- The offense was led by John Daly and Brad Malm, each with four RBIs. Daly finished 2-5 with a double and a home run, Malm went 3-4 with two doubles and a home run.

How it Happened:
- Connor Eisenmann started on the mound for the Great Danes, Brett Erwin started for the Black Bears.
- Maine scored in the bottom of the first off of a SAC fly from Knotts to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Great Danes responded by taking the lead in the third. John Daly doubled to left field to score Will Binder, and would later himself when Brad Malm hit a SAC fly to left – giving UAlbany the 2-1 advantage.
- The Great Danes pushed the lead to 5-1 in the fifth thanks to two doubles from Malm and Will Feil. Malm knocked his first for two RBIs, scoring Daly and Johnny Marti, before Feil shot one out to left field to score Malm.
- Maine collected its second run of the afternoon in the bottom of the fifth of a solo home run from Schulefand making the score 5-3 UAlbany.
- Binder hit a solo shot of his own in the sixth over the center field fence to make the score 6-3. Malm followed in Binder's footsteps the next inning with a solo shot to left.
- Nicholas Jessen entered the game for UAlbany to start the seventh.
- Maine scored again in the seventh thanks to Schulefand's second home run of the day, another solo blast.
- Daly all but secured the win for UAlbany in the eighth with a three-run home run to center, scoring Marti and Binder, and pushing the lead to 10-4.
- The Black Bears hit another solo home run in the bottom of the eighth off the bat of Knotts.
