Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team dropped game one of its three game series against Maine, falling 4-2.
Nicholas Jessen and
Marshall Winn combined for 3.1 scoreless innings to close out the game for the Great Danes.

Nicholas Jessen and

How it Happened:
- Ray Weber started on the mound for the Great Danes, Trevor Lebonte started for the Black Bears.
- UAlbany got on the board first after a SAC fly from Carson Dunkel in the second inning, scoring Bottari.
- Maine scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning. Goodman singled to right to score Schulefand to tie the game. McDaniel then homered to left for two RBIs before Jenkins scored on a fielder's choice to push the lead to 4-1 in favor of Maine.
- Jessen replaced Weber for UAlbany midway through the fifth.
- Colin Fitzgerald took the mound for Maine to start the eighth.
- Brad Malm pushed the score the 4-2 in the eighth. Marti doubled to get on base before reaching third on a wild pitch. He scored on an RBI single from Malm.
- Matthew Pushard replaced Fitzgerald midway through the eighth and closed the game.
