Short Story:Â The University at Albany men's basketball team had an impressive first half against the No. 13 ranked Virginia Cavaliers, but second half woes saw the Great Danes eventually fall by a score of 66-46. UAlbany led by as much as four points in the opening frame before a scoring drought, that continued into the second half, killed all the team's momentum.
Head Coach Dwayne Killings: "For 16 minutes and 20 seconds I thought we did a great job executing our game plan. We doubled the post some, we pressured them, we were right where we wanted to be coming out of the media time out with 3:40 left… I think one of the hardest things is, when we play these kinds of teams, they make the game so hard, and they wear you down. Once they open the game up it's hard to get back in."
