SHORT STORY: The Bearcats grabbed an early lead that proved fatal for the Great Danes, Sunday afternoon.
COACH JOSH PICKARD: "Our team battled today. We put ourselves in a couple of holes we were able to dig out of and a couple of others that were just too much. Naliah [Grannell] and Alexa [Harris] played well and I'm proud of how hard they've worked."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set saw five ties before Binghamton earned a 13-9 lead with a 5-1 scoring run.
- UAlbany was unable to come back from the early run as the Bearcats continued to add to their lead and win the set, 25-18.
- Just like the first, the second set started close.
- After working for three ties, BU took the lead with four-straight points.
- Following three additional scoring runs, the Bearcats held a 22-10 advantage.
- The Great Danes grabbed three unanswered points to close the scoring gap but a final point from Binghamton closed the set, 25-15.
- Notching early points, UAlbany earned the lead, 5-2, early on in the third set.
- With a 7-1 scoring run, the Bearcats stole the advantage for a 12-8 lead.
- Three straight points from the Great Danes, including a service ace from sophomore Zosia Szczotkiewicz, put the set within two, 18-16.
- Binghamton added five straight points to close the set, 25-18, and the match, 3-0.
NEXT: The Great Danes are set to close the regular season at home with two matches - New Hampshire (11/11) and UMBC (11/13).
