SCORE: UAlbany 59, Canisius 48
LOCATION: Koessler Athletic Center - Buffalo, N.Y.
RECORDS: UAlbany 3-4, 0-0 America East | Canisius 2-4, 0-0 MAAC
SHORT STORY: The Golden Griffins worked for a double-digit lead in the second half before a 12-point scoring run led to the Great Danes tying the score and eventually taking the victory, Wednesday night.
COACH COLLEEN MULLEN: "This was a great team win. Canisius did a good job of speeding us up in the first half. Even though our half-court defense was solid, Canisius capitalized on turnovers and offensive rebounds. In the second half, we elevated our defense and got big stops. We executed offensively and scored high-percentage shots. It was a statement win after a very long road stretch."
