How it Happened
- Hartford started the game with a quick opportunity less than two minutes in when Nadav Datner took a shot that missed high. The teams then engaged in a back-and-forth game with minimal offensive pressure for 15 minutes.
- Austin DaSilva took the Great Danes' first shot at 17:32 that was blocked. UAlbany gained some momentum with the ball on the Hartford side of the field but could not create threatening chances.
- The Hawks turned the momentum with a shot that missed high at 25:11. Hartford followed six minutes later with the game's first shot on goal.
- On a dangerous opportunity from the six-yard box, Datner produced a shot on goal that was saved by Michael Kennedy. The save caused the ball to go just wide, as the Great Danes escaped the situation with a goal kick.
- At 37:10, Hartford's Rasmus Karlsson head a ball of a corner kick that hit the crossbar. The chance was the final of the half for either team as they entered halftime tied 0-0.
