Short Story: UAlbany fell in a five-set America East Championship thriller to UMBC, as the Retrievers earn their first conference victory in program history.
 
Coach Josh Pickard: "It was exciting to have fans back and to compete in front of them knowing we had to win a lot this season to make this happen. We faced a very good UMBC team that took of the opportunities they had and we just couldn't push through. I'm proud of the way the team battled and I'm glad to see that we made it to the end with everything that's going on."
