Short Story: Elaina Burchell tied the game with 2:32 remaining, but Stanford struck 3:16 into overtime to seal a 3-2 win over UAlbany and clinch the final America East Tournament spot.
Coach Phil Sykes: "We had a strange call against us and we slightly stop and the ball gets down field quick and turns into a game-winning goal. It happens for both teams, but it's always a tough way to end it when you get to overtime. I'm so proud of our team coming out on senior day and playing hard for those girls, wanting to honor them for their time and effort. I'm glad that in this beautiful weather with a good crowd that we were able to play a hard-fought game against a very good Stanford team."

How it Happened
- UAlbany started the game fast when Cosima Rocktaeschel got the Great Danes on the board just 4:14 into the game. She took a pass from Katie MacCallum and buried her first goal of the season that gave UAlbany a 1-0 lead.
- Wasting little time, Stanford responded as Corinne Zanolli scored the game-tying goal off a penalty corner set play. Tied 1-1, Hanna Zarrilli produced the final shot of the first quarter.
- Identical to the first, UAlbany began the second quarter with pace. MacCallum took a shot wide, followed by a Carli Pelletier deflection off a penalty corner shot by Julie Rodijk that was saved.
- Stanford answered with a tie-breaking goal by Kaylie Mings that gave the Cardinal a 2-1 lead. Each team was held without a shot for the remainder of the quarter and Stanford led 2-1 at the half.
- In the third, Stanford began with the momentum. UAlbany goalkeeper Sheridan Messier was forced to make two point-blank saves at 32:41, as she kept the deficit at one goal.
