Head Coach Leigh Howard: "We are really proud of how our team came out today, given the circumstances, and fought for yet another win. We continued to bring the mentality and intensity that we have been emphasizing these past couple weeks. We generated an abundance of chances and to have Jasmine score her fifth game-winning goal in five wins was icing on the cake. We are incredibly disappointed that this is the way in which the season is ending and that we won't be able to compete next week, but proud of our team for staying healthy this entire spring and finishing with as many wins as anyone in the conference."

How it Happened
Â
- The UAlbany women's soccer regular-season finale saw the Great Danes visit America East newcomer NJIT for the first time as conference opponents. UAlbany had been eliminated from postseason contention with Binghamton's victory overtime victory over UMBC on Friday.
- UAlbany pressed their advantage offensively throughout the first half, outshooting the Highlanders at a rate of 11-1 over the first 45 minutes. In goal, Sophia Chen was untested in the first half. Despite the Great Danes' pressure, the score remained locked at zero at halftime.
- NJIT leveled out the pressure they were facing, cutting the second half shooting disadvantage from 10 to three. Additionally, the Highlanders drew six corner kicks in the second half, while holding UAlbany without one.
- Nearly 20 minutes into the second half, Jasmine Colbert connected with Marisa Tava on a free kick. Tava served the ball into the NJIT box and Colbert pushed the ball across the line to put UAlbany up 1-0. It was Colbert's fifth goal of the season.
- UAlbany held on to win their final game by the same score, 1-0. Each of Colbert's five goals this season were game-winners, accounting for each of UAlbany's five victories on the season.
