Short Story: UAlbany men's soccer falls in its second game of the weekend, 3-0, at UMass. 
 
Coach Gorman: "Today's game was a great opportunity for us to play a nonconference game and get minutes for everyone on the squad. Some guys made their UAlbany debut and others saw significant minutes in an unofficial match for the first time. We appreciate these chances to compete and know it will serve us well in the long-term."

  • UMass defender Eli Cronin opened the game's scoring with his strike in the 30th minute that gave the Minutemen a 1-0 lead they held into halftime. 
  • Austin DaSilva took UAlbany's only shot of the first half in the 39th minute that was saved by goalkeeper Marvyn Dorchin. The shot ended up as UAlbany only one on goal in the game.
  • In the 69th minute, UMass stuck for the second time, as Filippo Begliardi Ghidini buried a chance set up by Alec Hughes. In the 77th minute, Tyler Mann gave UMass a 3-0 lead, as Hughes produced his second assist in less than 10 minutes.
  • DaSilva produced the second and final UAlbany shot in the 83rd, as the Great Danes fell 3-0 to UMass.
