Short Story: UAlbany dropped game one 9-8 in extra innings and game two 9-1 at Mount St. Mary's, as the Mountaineers took all-four games of the weekend series.

 How it Happened Game 1
  • Mount St. Mary's started strong with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Mountaineers hit two bases loaded single that drove in the three runs, as they took a 3-0 lead.
  • UAlbany responded in the second inning, when they struck for five runs. With the bases loaded, the Mountaineers made a few errors that allowed all-three baserunners to score and Wendi Hammond advanced to third. Alexis Frederick singled home Hammond and Alexis Phillips hit an RBI groundout as the Great Danes took a 5-3 lead.
  • The Mountaineers immediately responded with two runs in the bottom of the second that tied the game at five. 
  • After a few scoreless innings, UAlbany rallied in the fifth inning. Katie Falotico led off the inning with her first home run of the season, Hammond hit an RBI single and Kelly Barkevich stole home as the Great Danes took an 8-5 lead. 
  • With a few more scoreless innings, UAlbany entered the bottom of the seventh leading by three runs before the Mountaineers rallied. Lexi Donovan hit a two-run home run and Vanessa Martin hit a game-tying RBI single. UAlbany and Mount St. Mary's entered extra innings tied, 8-8.
  • After a scoreless eighth inning, UAlbany had the bases loaded in the top of the ninth but could not convert. In the bottom half, Mariah Godde hit the game-winning RBI that propelled Mount St. Mary's to a 9-8 game one victory over UAlbany.  
 How it Happened Game 2
  • UAlbany scored the game's first run when Madison Petrella hit an RBI single that gave the Great Danes an early 1-0 lead. Mount St. Mary's, however, would respond with five runs in the bottom half. Two doubles and one single led to all-five of the Mountaineers' runs, as they led UAlbany 5-1 after one.
  • A scoreless second inning was followed by a two-run bottom of the third by Mount St. Mary's and they took a 7-1 lead.
  • In the bottom of the fourth, the Mountaineers' Shelbee Holcomb picked up her third and fourth RBIs of the game with a triple. 
  • The two runs gave Mount St. Mary's a 9-1 lead and they defeated UAlbany by that score after the Great Danes failed to score in the top of the fifth.
