Coach Mullen: "Overall I am so proud of the team. After numerous pauses and having to go on the road, after three days of practice, and to play Stony Brook the way we did, I think it shows the character and resilience of this team. In the second and fourth quarter we were fatigued, but we battled and competed.
Kayla Cooper came in and gave us a huge spark off the bench and
Helene Haegerstrand had a nice game for us. We did a good job getting stops, but we are going to need a higher level of execution in the game tomorrow."

Coaches Powering Forward
UAlbany will be participating in coaches powering forward, an autism awareness movement created in 2014 by NCAA coaches Pat Skerry and Tom Herrion. The Great Danes will be wearing light blue and pins to honor the organization.
"This is an organization that is very important to me, as both my boys are on the autism spectrum," coach
Colleen Mullen said. "We are really proud to be part of this initiative to honor those individuals and family members that are affected by autism spectrum disorder."
"It is also a special game for us because
Taniya Hanner is on the autism spectrum," Mullen said. "It brings light to the fact that she's a role model to many to be a Division I athlete even though she's had to overcome challenges and obstacles in her life."
Next: UAlbany will conclude its regular season at Stony Brook Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 3:00 p.m.
