GREAT DANE REWIND
- UAlbany opened the season with a 29-point victory over Hofstra (11/10), beating the Pride for the first time in program history.
- Most recently, the Great Danes fell at Merrimack (11/16).
- Senior Ellen Hahne led the team with 30 points, shooting 3-6 from outside the arc and 5-6 from the free-throw line for team-high percentages.
- Freshman Koi Sims (3-4), sophomore Kayla Cooper (6-10), and junior Helene Haegerstrand (7-14) lead the Great Danes with their respective numbers from the field.
- On the rebound, redshirt-sophomore Morgan Haney owns a team-high 12 total rebounds with 11 defensive rebounds. Hahne has tallied a team-high seven offensive rebounds while senior Lucia Decortes follows with six.
- Cooper and freshman Lilly Phillips have tallied four assists each.
- Decortes compiled two blocks at Merrimack to lead the team.
- Every single player from the 13-person roster saw action and contributed with a point or an assist in the season-opening game.
- Of the 122 points scored in two games, the bench has tallied 57 points. This includes half (26) of the 52 points scored at Merrimack.
- As a team, UAlbany is hitting 38.1% from the field, 28.6% outside the arc, and 63.6% from the free-throw line. The Great Danes are averaging 61 points per game, 41.5 rebounds per game, and 13 assists per game.
ABOUT CORNELL
- The Big Red is 2-3 on the season with wins against Colgate (11/10) and Binghamton (11/17).
- Cornell played its first game since the 2019-20 season hosting Colgate for a 53-34 victory.
- The team's three losses come from Wake Forest (11/12) and East Tennessee State University (11/14) on the road and Fairleigh Dickinson (11/20) at home.
- The Big Red will begin conference play on January 2 at Dartmouth College.
- Theresa Grace Mbanefo leads the team with 68 points making a team-high 56.6% of her shots from the field. Mbanefo also leads with 41 rebounds holding the team-highs on the offensive glass (15) and the defensive glass (26).

WHAT'S UP, PRESEASON
- The Great Dane women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the conference in the preseason coaches' poll. With six first-place votes and 78 total points, Stony Brook was voted to finish first with Maine just behind (74 points, three first-place votes).
- UAlbany added four new players to the roster for the 2021-22 season - Koi Sims, Lilly Phillips, Abby Ray, and Freja Werth

- Coaches Colleen Mullen and Dwayne Killings, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl every Monday from 6-7 pm live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops'.
- Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Mullen, Coach Kills, the student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew.
