GREAT DANE REWIND
- In their first game of the 2021-22 season, the Great Danes defeated Hofstra, 70-41, in front of fans for the first time in almost two years.
- Senior Ellen Hahne led the team with 17 points and three steals, shooting 5-9 from the field and 2-3 from outside the arc.
- Senior Lucia Decortes led the team against Hofstra with seven rebounds, six of which came from the offensive glass.
- Every single player from the 13-person roster saw action and contributed with a point or an assist against the Pride. They saw 31 points come from the bench.
- After three surgeries and two years off the court, redshirt-sophomore Morgan Haney made her post-injury debut against Hofstra. She tallied six rebounds, second on the team, six points, and two assists.
- As a team, UAlbany hit 45.6% from the field, 36.4% outside the arc, and 66.7% from the free-throw line.
- UAlbany returned its 2020-21 leaders in points (Helene Haegerstrand), defensive and total rebounds (Ellen Hahne), offensive rebounds (Lucia Decortes), assists (Ellen Hahne), and blocks (Lucia Decortes).
- Four of the five starters from last year return - Haegerstrand, Hahne, Decortes, and Grace Heeps, plus Kayla Cooper returns after seeing the court in all 18 games in 2020-21

ABOUT MERRIMACK
- The Warriors opened the season with a loss to Vermont (11/9) before falling at Rhode Island (11/12).
- Merrimack will host its first home game of the season against UAlbany.
- Mayson Kimball and Kaylee Thomas lead the team with 19 points each while Amaya Staton leads with a .571 field goal percentage.
- On the rebound, Paige McCormick leads with nine - four offensive and five defensive. Teneisia Brown owns a team-high five offensive rebounds.
- Staton has tallied two blocks in two games.
- As a team, Merrimack is shooting 28.6% from the field, 22.2% from outside the arc, and 50% from the free-throw line. They are averaging 49.5 points per game.

- Merrimack leads the series, 3-2.
- This upcoming meeting will be the first since UAlbany was a Division II school. The Warriors are currently in the transition process and will become a full Division I school by 2023-24.

- The Great Dane women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the conference in the preseason coaches' poll. With six first-place votes and 78 total points, Stony Brook was voted to finish first with Maine just behind (74 points, three first-place votes).Â
- UAlbany added four new players to the roster for the 2021-22 season - Koi Sims, Lilly Phillips, Abby Ray, and Freja Werth

- Coaches Colleen Mullen and Dwayne Killings, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl every Monday from 6-7 pm live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops'.
- Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Mullen, Coach Kills, the student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew.Â
- Food and drink specials will be available on a weekly basis as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.
