Short Story: Despite a career high 12 rebounds from Kyara Frames, the University at Albany women's basketball team fell short to St. Francis Brooklyn, 49-41, Saturday afternoon.

Recap
The University at Albany women's basketball team dropped its second straight game with a 49-41 loss to St. Francis Brooklyn Saturday afternoon. 
 
Frames kicked off the proceedings, scoring the games' first points with a three-pointer after seven minutes went by. Neither team was able to score after that until the Terriers got on the board with a jumper with 5:32 remaining. St Francis Brooklyn then hit another jumper with 1:31 left to take a 4-3 lead into the second quarter.
 
In the second, Conroy gave the Great Danes a 5-4 advantage with 8:54 remaining, but the Terriers responded right away with layup to take the lead right back. St. Francis Brooklyn extended its lead to 10-5 with 7:36 left, marking the biggest advantage for either side during that point in the game.
 
UAlbany continued to keep the game close after Helene Haegerstrand hit a three-pointer with 5:17 left to trim the Terriers' lead to 10-8. Four quick points for St. Francis Brooklyn gave the team a 14-10 lead, but Conroy hit a three-pointer and Khepera Stokes hit a jumper with 1:13 left, giving the Great Danes a 15-14 lead into halftime.
 
The Great Danes got off to a quick start in the third with Haegerstand's second three-pointer of the game, leading 17-14. The Terriers continued to respond back knocking down back-to-back jumpers to regain the lead 18-17. The scoring continued for St. Francis Brooklyn, which ended up being a 6-0 run to give the team a 20-17 lead with seven minutes left. 
 
UAlbany continued to fight back, regaining the lead at 21-20 after layups by Stokes and Amanda Kantzy. The back and forth scoring between the teams continued, having the Great Danes up 28-27 heading into the fourth. Both teams scored 13 points in the quarter.
 
The Terriers got off to a quick start in the fourth, knocking down a three-pointer 20 seconds in. Kantzy tied the game up right away at 30 with a jumper. St. Francis went on a 5-0 run starting at the 7:41 mark, earning the teams' largest lead of the day at 35-30. UAlbany had one final push with 37 seconds left after a Frames three-pointer cut the lead to 45-41, but after time expired the Terriers held on for a 49-41 win.
