Short Story: The University at Albany volleyball team got back to its winning ways on Friday, defeating Hartford in four sets.

Coach Pickard: “Proud of how we progressed through the match. Our first contact needed improvement and we were able to do that as the sets went on. Akua was steady in her play once again and we were able to make plays when we needed to. Always a tough weekend when you play the teams we are playing, but great to get a win in the first half of the weekend.”

By the numbers vs. Hartford

• Akuabata Okenwa led the way with 16 kills and five blocks.
• Chloe Evering tallied eight kills and three blocks.
• Danielle Tedesco notched six kills.
