Short Story: The University at Albany volleyball team defeated cross-town rival Siena in three straight sets to pick up its eighth consecutive win on Tuesday night.

Coach Pickard: "Always great to get a good match in the Capital region. The team continues to learn each time we are out there and Siena pushed us to make some scrappy plays. Each time we come out we are trying to be better than we were the last time through the end of the season."

• Akuabata Okenwa and Chloe Evering led the way with 10 kills apiece.
• Grace Cozad notched 12 digs to go alone with eight kills and two blocks.
• Danielle Tedesco's four blocks led the team. She also tallied four kills.
