Short Story: The UAlbany volleyball team opened its 2018 home slate with a straight set sweep against Siena on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Grace Cozad, who hit .417 on the day, led the Great Danes with a career-high 13 kills.

Key Stats:
- The Great Danes hit .393 as a team, including a .464 mark in set three. Nicole Otero posted a season-best 25 digs in the tilt while Courtney O'Connell's five blocks were a season high.
- UAlbany held Siena to a -.009 hitting percentage. The Saints could not find an answer for the Great Dane's front row that combined for nine total team blocks.
- The Great Danes had three different players record double-digit digs in the contest. Anna Chalupa (13) and Akuabata Okenwa (12) joined Nicole Otero who paced all players with 25 digs of her own.
