Homecoming 2018

This Saturday, October 20th, is UAlbany's Homecoming football game vs. the Towson Tigers. Come cheer on your Great Danes in Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. To ensure all fans have the best game day experience possible, UAlbany Athletics has partnered with the UAlbany Police Department and the rest of campus to adjust parking and tailgating procedures for this game only.  Please see the information below that outlines the day's activities and important gameday information.


Homecoming Gameday Timeline


  • 11:30 am: SEFCU and Dutch Parking Lots Open
  • 11:30 am: Will Call and Box Offices Open
  • 1:00 pm: Great Dane Game Day Opens
  • 2:00 pm: Doors Open to Casey Stadium
  • 3:15 pm: SEFCU and Dutch Tailgating Suspended
  • 3:15 pm: Great Dane Game Day Closes
  • 3:30 pm: Great Danes vs. Towson Tigers
  • Approx. 8:00pm: SEFCU and Dutch Parking Lots Close

Parking/Tailgating Changes


Dutch Lot Parking Changes:

The Dutch Lot will be separated into two lots: one for tailgating, and one for parking only.  Both areas are $15 to park. Please see the map below that specifies these areas. Please note that parking regulations for the SEFCU Lot will remain unchanged.

Dutch Lot Tailgating Changes:

For fans who wish to enjoy the tailgating experience in the Dutch Lot, please note the following changes:

  • The Tailgating Area in the Dutch Lot will be secured.
  • Patrons driving to the game, must notify the parking staff upon entering the Dutch Lot if they wish to tailgate or not. Patrons will then be guided to their desired area.
  • Tailgating in the Non-Tailgating Area is strictly prohibited and patrons will be asked to move to the Tailgating Area or discontinue tailgating.
  • Pedestrians may enter the tailgating section of the Dutch Lot via an entrance on the east end of the lot (see Green “X” on the map above). 
  • Pedestrians wishing to enter the designated tailgate area will need a ticket to the game, valid proof of ticket purchase (such as a confirmation email from the UAlbany Ticket Office) or a UAlbany Student ID. 
  • Pedestrians entering the lot will also be subject to bag and cooler checks.

Dutch and SEFCU Lot Tailgating Rules:

  • Both lots will open at 11:30 a.m., and tailgating must end by 3:15 p.m. (15 minutes prior to kickoff).
  • Tailgating must conclude 90 minutes following the end of the game.
  • PROHIBITED ITEMS INCLUDE GLASS CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND AND KEGS.
  • Gas grills are allowed, but open flames are not permitted.
  • Amplified music outside of a personal vehicle, or the use of speakers, DJ's or other amplified music is prohibited.
  • Consistent with the University's Policy on Alcohol and New York State law, alcohol is permitted to be consumed in the tailgating area by individuals who are 21 or older. 
  • Public intoxication, vandalism, obscene or harassing behavior and violence (or threats of violence) will not be tolerated. Offenders and accompanying individuals may be subject to arrest, removal from the campus and/or other applicable disciplinary actions.

Tickets and Will Call


  • Casey Stadium box offices will open at 11:30am.
  • Box offices are located at the North and South entrances to the stadium.
  • Longer ticket lines are expected, so to save time, you may purchase tickets via UAlbanySports.com/tickets through the start of the game.
  • Please be prepared for longer lines at will call due to the demand of the game. It is recommended that you use the print-at-home option when purchasing your tickets.
  • Will call is located under the tent at the South end of Casey Stadium.
  • Team pass lists, media credentials, and advanced sale tickets can be picked up starting at 1:30pm.
  • Fans arriving after halftime should pick up game tickets at the South Box Office. 


Great Dane Game Day Information


  • A pregame fan-fest that includes live music by Funk Evolution, food, drinks, inflatables, and games will be part of this weekend's Homecoming Great Dane Game Day.
  • Current UAlbany students can swipe their SUNY Card or use Discount Dollars, Munch Money or Podium dollars for the buffet or food options.
