Stony Brook, N. Y.- UAlbany's Adrian Foncette was able to record his tenth shutout of his career to preserve a 0-0 double overtime tie, between UAlbany and Stony Brook, on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Kenneth P. LaVallee Stadium. The Great Danes look to continue to add to their streak of consecutive conference points against Binghamton on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7pm.
     In regulation, both teams look to shut down the other with their superior defensive play. UAlbany (4-6-2, AE 0-1-2) and Stony Brook (6-4-3, AE 2-0-1) each were only able to tally two shots on net through the first 90 minutes of the game. The Seawolves led in corner kicks, 6-2 to give them an edge offensively, but the Great Danes were able to deny every opportunity.
     Overtime was the same story defensively as both teams were only able to get one corner kick opportunity but failed to cash in. Stony Brook's Will Casey had the only chance on offense with the header on net in 97th minute, but Foncette made his third save of the game to keep the game at 0-0.
     "Our guys performed very well against a tough opponent on the road", said Head Coach Trevor Gorman. " We defended well as a team and had some good chances to win toward the end. We're looking forward to our next chance to take those chances on Saturday."
     UAlbany's David Pinto led the team in shots on net with two. Stony Brook's Will Casey tallied two shots on net as well.
     The Seawolves' Stefan Manz was able to grab his third shutout of the year with two saves. The Great Danes' Foncette tallied his second shutout of the season with three saves.
