Liam Guiton

Guiton joined the Great Danes in the fall of 2024 as an assistant coach. 

Guiton remains in the Capital Region following a three-year stint at NCAA Division III Skidmore College. While with the Thoroughbreds, Guiton's primary responsibility was working as the program's defensive coordinator - where he contributed to 24 victories over three years by developing strategic defensive game plans and in-game adjustments. In addition, he worked cooperatively with the athletic program to provide positive leadership and coaching for the team's defensive players, provided group and individual guidance on sports rules, game strategies, performance principles, and mentored two student-athletes to Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Liberty League honors.

Before arriving at Skidmore, Guiton spent three seasons with NCAA Division II Saint Rose as an assistant coach. There, his duties included organizing practice sessions, exercise and conditioning to improve player performance, and followed recruitment tactics and strategies to bring in athletes for different positions.

A goalie at Saint Rose from 2015-2018, Guiton finished his career having earned honors such as (USILA) Nike Third Team All-American status, 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Goalie of the Year, ranked seventh nationally with 13.71 saves per game, and eighth with a .585 save percentage and helped Saint Rose achieve a program-best nine wins, along with its first-ever NE10 Championship Tournament berth in the spring of 2018. He is the program's all-time leader in career saves with 555 having faced 1,624 shots with 443 goals allowed for 10.91 goals against average and .556 save percentage while tallying 151 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers and accumulating 2435:30 career minutes in the crease.

Guiton earned his Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning from The College of Saint Rose in the spring of 2018 while staying an extra two years in pursuit of his MBA which he received n the spring of 2020.
