Dan Hislop was named UAlbany Football’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in January 2026.

Hislop joins the Great Danes after serving as the Associate Director of Strength and Speed at Colorado State since 2022. During his tenure in Fort Collins, he played a key role in the physical development and athletic performance of the Rams' football program.

Prior to his time at Colorado State, Hislop spent two seasons as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at James Madison University. During his stint with the Dukes, he helped lead the team to consecutive FCS Semifinals while compiling an impressive 19-3 record. In addition to his work with football, Hislop also served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for JMU’s top-ranked lacrosse team, as well as the field hockey and tennis programs.

Before his arrival at JMU, Hislop spent over two years at the University of Nevada as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. His extensive resume also includes coaching roles at Elon University and internship experience with the University of South Carolina, Villanova University, and Lehigh University.

A native of Levittown, Pennsylvania, Hislop earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from East Stroudsburg University in 2016. He began his professional journey as a volunteer assistant at his alma mater and Moravian College.

Hislop is accompanied in Albany by his wife, Mitzi.
