High School
Pruyn was a three-year letter-winner and senior captain in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, where she was also a member of the Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society, National Honor Society, and the Burnt Hills Leadership Training Program. She was an indoor All-American in the 4xMile in 2012, where her team finished second overall at NSIC Nationals. She was a Section II Class B champion as a senior in the steeplechase, and was a Suburban Council All-Star selection in 2010 and 2011. Following her senior season, Pruyn was named Most Distinguished Athlete for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Class of 2013, and earned the Class of 2013 Scholar Athlete award. She won two team MVP awards for track and one for cross country. As a freshman, she won the freshman MVP award for cross country and indoor track. She won an indoor state championship in 2012 as a member of the Section II intersectional relay. Her teams won the Section II Class B cross country championship in 2010 and 2011, and the Section II Class B outdoor track championship in 2011 and 2013. Additionally, she qualified for outdoor states in the 4x8 relay in 2013, and ran at indoor nationals in 2010 in the 4xMile and distance medley relays and 2013 in the 4x8, and at outdoor nationals in 2010 in the 4xMile. She competed for her team at the cross country state meet in 2010 and 2011.

Personal
Schuyler Anne Pruyn is the daughter of Hendrik and Marie Pruyn. She has one brother, Hendrik. She intends to major in chemistry with a focus on forensics.
