High School
Barker ran track and field for four years at Elmont Memorial where he was also a member of the Key Club. In 2013 he was an indoor track First Team All-American in the 4x400m relay. He also was an indoor and outdoor state champion that year. From 2011 through 2013 he was named to the indoor and outdoor track All-Conference team as well as the All-County team. He was a member of the state and federation championship 4x400m relay teams in indoor track in 2012 and 2013, and outdoor track in 2013. Barker was named his indoor team’s most improved runner from 2011 to 2013.

Chad J. Barker is the son of Michael and Marcia Barker. He has five sisters, Shari-dee, Kelsie-ann, Shumaine, Sydnae, and Shantee. He intends to major in physical therapy/pre-health.
