Nicholas Clark joined the UAlbany Athletic Training staff in August 2023 as an assistant athletic trainer, primarily working with baseball and men’s soccer.

His main responsibilities include emergency response, injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation and post-operative care for varsity student-athletes. He also provides medical coverage for practices and competitions and assists with the health and safety of student-athletes across the department.

Clark came to UAlbany after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at SUNY Oneonta. During his time at Oneonta, he provided direct coverage for baseball, field hockey and wrestling, while also assisting with track and field, cross country and tennis.

He also served as an associate athletic director intern at Oneonta in 2023, assisting with game-day operations, staffing, facilities and other departmental responsibilities.

Prior to Oneonta, Clark worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Iselborn Health and Wellness in Jacksonville, Florida, where he provided injury evaluation, management, rehabilitation, referral, education and prevention services. He also served as the Jacksonville Jaguars' cryotherapy coordinator.

Clark holds certifications from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers and is licensed as an athletic trainer in New York State. He also holds First Aid/AED/BLS certification through the American Red Cross. Clark is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association.

Clark graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Master of Business in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland in 2024.
