Ferrero was a four-year letter-winner at Northern Valley Regional High School where she served as a team captain her senior year. She received Second Team All- Big North Conference in 2013, First Team All-Big North Conference in 2014, 2015, and Honorable Mention All-Bergen County 2014, 2015. She also earned the Fred McClain Senior Award for team leadership.
