Gilet attended Miles College, where he was named Newcomer of the Year and Athlete of the Year, and
Lackawanna College, where he was a Graphic Edge Bowl Champion.
High School
Gilet attended
Clarkstown North High School, competing in track and field in his senior year. He was also a four-year letter-winner in football as a linebacker, and a two-year letter-winner in basketball as a point guard. His career football
stastics include 122 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles. He was named First Team All-County for track and field in 2009, as well as All-League and All-Section. He was the 2009 MVP of track and football, as well as the Most Versatile Player.

Gilet in Spring Valley, New York. His father graduated from
UAlbany.
Gilet has one brother, Michael. He is majoring in criminal justice and political science.
