High School
Carter was a four-year letter-earner in cross country and outdoor track at Averill Park High School. He was a three-year letter-earner during indoor track and also served as team captain his junior and senior year. He earned All Suburban Council (Cross Country, 2015, Outdoor Track, 2016) and second Team Section 2 (XC 2015). He was also named MVP (Cross Country 2015) and Best Distance Runner (Indoor 2014, 2015 & Outdoor 2015, 2016).

Jeremy Carter is the son of Gregory and Melissa Carter. He has two brothers, Cameron and Benjamen, and one sister, Makenna. He was a member of the National Honors Society.
