High School
Morris was a three-year letter-winner at Albany High School, where he served as team captain in his senior year. He was named team MVP at total of four times, for indoor in 2008 and 2009, and for outdoor in 2009 and 2010. He was named by the Albany Times Union as a First Team All-Star in the 100, 200, and 4x100 relay, the latter of which qualified for the state meet. Additionally, Morris was named Athlete of the Month in May 2010 by the Times Union. He earned the honor by winning four events at the
Colonie Relays, three events at the Eddy meet, and four events at the Section II Class A Championship. Morris qualified for states that same year in the 100, 200, and 4x1. He finished second overall at states in the 200, improving on his eighth-place finish from the previous year.
