High School
Rowan was a five-time letter-winner in track and field and soccer at St. John the Baptist, where he was also a senior track captain and a member of National Honor Society. He was a member of the third place CHSAA 4x8 relay team at the Millrose Games, the indoor champion CHSAA 4x4 relay, and the third play finishing 4x4 relay at the New York State Indoor Championships. He followed up that performance with an eight place finish in the 4x8 at indoor nationals, and a CHSAA outdoor championship in the 4x4. He was named as an NSCHSAA All-League member in 2011 for the outdoor 4x4, in 2012 for the indoor 4x2 and outdoor 4x4, and in 2013 for the indoor and outdoor 4x4, the latter for which he was also named All-State. He was awarded team most improved for indoor 2013 and team MVP for outdoor 2013. In 2010, he helped his team win NSCHSAA Indoor Freshman Championships, and repeated the following year as indoor sophomore co-champions. In 2012, he helped his soccer team win the NSCHSAA Championship by scoring a goal in the championship game.
