PINK GAME!

The UAlbany women's soccer team will take on Binghamton, Thursday evening, for their annual "Pink Game" which is their breast cancer awareness match. Sydney Kofton currently leads the team with seven points from three goals and one assist. Kiara Levac and Oluchi Njkoku follow with five points each from two goals and one assist. Sara Tyler leads all players in minutes with 800. Claudia Volino has started every match in goal for the Great Danes, and played all but 24:44. Volino has recorded an 0.694 save percentage.

Binghamton (5-2-3, 1-0-1 America East) enters Thursday after shutting out Bryant 3-nil this past Sunday. Paige Luke currently leads the Bearcats' offensive efforts with 11 points from three goals and five assists. Jahkaya Davis follows with eight points from four goals. Sophia Garofalo leads all field players in minutes with 883. Rebecca Kessler has spent every minute of the season in net for Binghamton, where she has recorded a 0.800 save percentage and allowed only four goals.

The Bearcats hold the series win with 15 wins to UAlbany's eight, additionally, five contests between these two teams ended in draws.

HOMECOMING!

The Great Danes return home to Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 3, for the team’s annual Homecoming game against Delaware State, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. A packed slate of campus festivities will kick off early in the day as tailgating lots open at 11:30 a.m., followed by the Great Dane Pregame from 1:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., bringing alumni, families, and fans together ahead of the action.

Saturday’s game will also serve as a centerpiece for celebrating Great Dane tradition and past athletic achievement. UAlbany will recognize the newest inductees of the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026, following their official induction ceremony the previous evening at Broadview Center. At halftime, the stadium will host the "Parade of Champions," taking a moment to honor all UAlbany teams that captured championship titles during the past year.

The Great Danes are back at home Sunday afternoon (Oct. 4) at PE Gym against New Hampshire. Before facing the Wildcats, UAlbany will take on NJIT in Newark. The Great Danes enter this weekend with a 3-9, 0-1 record after falling to UMBC in five sets Friday evening (Sept. 25). Junior Pinar Erol continues to lead the team with 157 kills, averaging 3.34 per set, and junior libero Kasia Barletta leads in digs with 175 and averaging 3.72 per set. 

New Hampshire enters Sunday’s match with a 10-4,1-0 record after taking the match against Binghamton, 3-0, Sunday afternoon (Sept. 27). The Wildcats will play at home against Stonehill before making the trip to Albany. Emma Converse leads New Hampshire with 168 kills, averaging 3.45 per set, and Hady Pickard leads in digs with 197 and averaging 4.02 per set. 

The Great Danes lead the series against New Hampshire 25-22 overall, and lead 20-18 in conference play. The last time UAlbany and UNH met, the Great Danes took the match 3-0.
