Baseball Drops Series Finale at Yale

Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team jumped out to an early lead but Yale used a pair of big innings to pull away and take the series finale on Sunday afternoon.

  • Yale opened the scoring in the first inning with a sacrifice fly and a three-run single to take a 4-0 lead.
  • UAlbany answered in a big way in the second inning. A wild pitch brought Luke Filippi home before Patrick DeSarno drew an RBI walk. Another wild pitch scored John Vitucci before Kyle Stephens lined a two-run single to give the Great Danes a 5-4 lead.
