Women’s Lacrosse Tops Wagner in Tucker Out Lymphoma Game

Short Story: The UAlbany women's lacrosse team recorded its fifth victory of the season with a 16-4 win over Wagner in the program's second Tucker Out Lymphoma Game.

  • Paisley Cook scored four goals and controlled eight draws, recording her 200th career draw control.
  • Kloey Roos added four goals, while Ravan Marsell contributed four points on one goal and three assists.
  • Eleven Great Danes recorded at least one point, including two players who scored the first goals of their collegiate careers.
  • UAlbany outshot Wagner 31-11 and limited the Seahawks to four goals.

How It Happened:
  • The America East Offensive Player of the Week, Ravan Marsell, opened the scoring for the Great Danes, followed by goals from Paisley Cook and Kloey Roos to give UAlbany an early 3-0 lead.
  • Wagner's Amelia Logan got the Seahawks on the board before both teams traded goals, making it a 4-2 contest midway through the first quarter.
  • Paisley Cook closed the opening frame with two more goals to complete a first-quarter hat trick, helping the Great Danes take a 6-3 lead at the end of the first.
  • Grace Cincebox anchored a shutout second quarter in net as Riley Forthofer, Roos, and Cook each found the back of the net to extend UAlbany's lead to 9-3 at halftime.
  • Quinn McCarthy entered the cage for the Great Danes to start the second half.
  • Roos opened the third-quarter scoring and later closed the period with another goal, while Jaedyn Frink added one in between to secure another shutout quarter, giving UAlbany a 12-3 lead entering the fourth.
  • Logan scored her second goal of the game for Wagner to open the fourth quarter before four different Great Danes found the back of the net. Brooke Perry and Ava Cunneen each scored their first collegiate goals, Lena Cox netted her first goal as a Great Dane, and Anasofia Cirrincione added her first goal of the season to seal the 16-4 victory.
