Short Story:
 The University at Albany men's lacrosse team was unable to overcome #15 Georgetown on Tuesday afternoon after a third quarter run from the Hoyas put the game out of reach.

How it Happened:  
  • Georgetown's Jack Schubert scored the first two goals of the game for the Hoyas at 11:45 and 8:09 in the first.
  • Ryan Doherty scored UAlbany's first goal late in the first, collecting the rebound of a crossbar shot from Silas Richmond.
  • Georgetown responded just 12 seconds into the second with a pole goal from Evan MacFarland, 3-1.
  • Richmond scored his first of the afternoon six minutes into the second, taking it to the net himself past two defenders.
  • The lead for Georgetown was pushed back to two goals, 4-2, on a score from Pax Marshall with the clock at 7:13. A minute later, Georgetown's Jack Ransom made it 5-2.
  • The Hoyas took a 6-2 advantage on a goal from Rory Connor with just a second left on the shot clock late in the second quarter.
  • UAlbany's Richmond scored his second of the day with 35 seconds remaining in the first half, putting the score at 6-3 as both teams took to the locker room.
  • The Hoyas scored the first goal of the second half three minutes in, courtesy of George Acton. 38 seconds later, the lead was extended to 8-3 on a goal from Rory Connor, who scored again just four seconds later to make it 9-3.

  • UAlbany's Matthew Pettis stopped the bleeding for the Great Danes with 4:22 remaining in the third.
  • Jacob Smith followed with a pole goal before Richmond buried his third of the game to make it 12-6 near the end of the quarter.
  • With four seconds remaining in the third, Georgetown's Schuber scored to make it 13-6 heading into the final frame.
  • The Great Danes claimed two goals early in the fourth from Koleton Marquis and Brendon Barnard to make it 13-8.
  • Back-to-back goals from the Hoyas moved the score to 15-8 around the six-minute mark.
  • One final goal from the Hoyas made the final score 16-8.
